Retention Knobs, also called Pull Studs are the link between the machine drawbar and the toolholder.
Pulling forces can reach up to 1200 lbs for BT30, 2300 lbs for 40 taper, and up to 5000 lbs for 50 taper
Our retention knobs are made in the USA by MariTool from H-13 tool steel. H-13 is tougher and harder than 8620, 9310 and 4140 alloys that are commonly used by other manufacturers
All of our Retention Knobs have pilot diameters that help improve concentricity
