MariTool currently offers 3 types of hydraulic chucks. For best performance please follow these guidlelines.... RHC type has the highest grip of the 3. Intended for medium roughing, drilling, and threadmilling. Has large nose diameter and short gage length. HC type. Standard model. Use for finishing and light roughing. We have various gage lengths with medium diameter noses. SHC type. Slim nose style. Lowest grip of all 3. Use for finishing only. Longer gage lengths with slim nose profiles. Great for 5 axis finishing. All 3 types function the same way with tightening screw. Also all 3 models take the same sleeves that are available in standard and coolant sealing. All 3 types have the same balance rating. Hydraulic Chucks are NOT intended for heavy roughing applications. Shrink Fit Holders or End Mill Holders are best for roughing applications.
Intended Use: All Hydraulic Holders are recommended for FINISHING and light roughing applications only. Hydraulic Chucks are ideal tool holders for machining processes that require high accuracy and fine finishes because of their excellent runout, dampening properties and balance.
How to Use: Simply place the tool in the holder and turn the piston screw inwards until the screw comes to a DEAD STOP, no torque value to measure.
Use our optional sleeves to reduce bore size and hold many different size shanks.
Other Facts: The clamping screw pushes an internal piston that increases the oil pressure, causing an internal oil bladder to expand and shrink the tool holder bore.
